THERAPY IN GALVESTON & ONLINE ACROSS TX & MI

Stop pretending everything’s okay. Start living like you mean it.

You’ve done everything you were expected to—in your family, relationships, & career.

And yet, it still feels like something’s missing.

I work with people who...

  • Appear put-together and capable on the outside, but behind closed doors are anxious, drained, and overwhelmed.

  • Feel resentful in their relationships, like they’re always showing up for everyone else but no one’s really there for them.

  • Are staring down big changes—a breakup, loss of a loved one, leaving the military—and feel like the ground is shifting under their feet.

  • Have served in the military or as first responders and feel like no one in the civilian world really gets them—or what they’ve seen, done, or lost.

  • End most days with a bottle of wine, pot, shopping, or another activity they’ll regret in the morning just to feel something—or nothing—and are starting to think it’s becoming a problem.

  • Lie awake at night wondering, “Is this really it?” while quietly longing to feel whole, real, and more at peace with themselves.

You’ve already tried living according to others’ expectations.

Imagine a life where you make choices based on what you actually want, rather than what you feel you “should” want.

HI, I’M JENNIFER.

I take a no-bullshit approach to helping you like the person you see in the mirror.

Therapy with me is direct, real, and actionable. You don’t need to show up with a checklist or agenda—just bring yourself, exactly as you are. I’ll meet you there, no judgmental remarks, no expectations, no pretending things feel fine when they don’t. I’ll tell you the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable (especially when it’s uncomfortable) because I care too much to let you keep lying to yourself.

Many people who work with me have been in therapy before and left feeling unseen, unheard, or just... unimpressed. That’s not what happens here.

I don’t hide behind clinical language or sugarcoat your pain. We’ll talk like two real people (because we are), where nothing is too taboo to bring up—from the experiences you’ve had to the existential questions that keep you up at night. You deserve someone who will call you out, help you navigate the messy parts of life, ask the hard questions, and empower you to discover your own answers.

I’ve lived a thousand lives—as an Air Force veteran, former law enforcement, spouse of a service member, a student, a clinician, the list goes on. I bring my whole self into the room unapologetically, so you won’t have to wonder if I actually get what you’re going through or feel like you’re talking to a blank slate. We’ll discuss who you want to be, why that feels hard to reach right now, and what beliefs and habits you’re carrying that no longer serve you.

If you’re ready to commit to doing the work, I’m ready to help you transform your life into one that aligns with your truest self.

Specializing in…

  • You’re exhausted. You’re doing everything for everyone else and still feel like you’re failing. Maybe you’re questioning everything—your job, your relationship, your worth—and nothing seems to bring joy anymore.

You don’t have to stay stuck in this loop. We’ll get honest about what’s weighing you down and find new, healthier ways of dealing with stress so you can feel like yourself again.

  • You might feel disconnected from everything and everyone—even yourself. You can’t relax, you don’t trust anyone, and the smallest things can sometimes set off big reactions. Maybe you're carrying shame or guilt over something that happened, crying constantly without knowing why, struggling to get a good night’s sleep, or wondering if life will ever feel normal again.

The work we’ll do together helps you make sense of what happened and how it still shows up, so you can stop just surviving and actually start living again.

  • It’s like you’re living in a world that doesn’t make sense anymore. Civilians don’t get it, and the things that bother them feel meaningless compared to what you’ve seen or done. Maybe your anger’s getting harder to suppress, you’re having trouble even getting a few hours of sleep, or drinking or smoking has become part of your routine just to take the edge off.

I speak your language—I’ve been there—and this is a place where you don’t have to explain or soften anything. You just have to show up.

  • If you’re someone who has never quite felt comfortable sitting across from someone in a therapy office, walk & talk therapy might be for you. In these sessions, shoes are optional as we walk side by side along the shore (or sit and look out at the waves, if you’d prefer) and talk about the real stuff in a space that feels open, grounding, and natural.

Book your first appointment by clicking here. In this initial session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and spend some time getting to know one another. Through this, we’ll begin building a trusting relationship, which is the foundation of doing meaningful work. I offer walk-and-talk sessions in person in Galveston & online appointments across Texas & Michigan.

In the work we’ll do together, we’ll get to the root of the issues you’re facing now so you can finally let go of the beliefs, stories, and habits that belong in the past. Happiness is a fleeting feeling, not an end goal—I’ll help you accept that life just sucks sometimes, and learn how to find peace even in those hard moments.

Once we’ve uncovered the source of your struggles, you have a choice to make: continue the way things have been or show up differently and more in alignment with who you want to be. I’ll hold you accountable each week, and eventually, you’ll trust yourself enough to know that you can get through whatever might come your way.
