ABOUT JENNIFER DI FALCO RIGGS, LMSW, LCSW
A space to get honest, dig deep, & take action.
I’m a therapist based in Galveston, offering walk-and-talk beach sessions in-person & virtual sessions across Texas & Michigan. I specialize in therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, military service members, veterans, & first responders.
It might feel like you’re helpless to change the things you don’t like about your life. Thankfully, you’re wrong.
The way you show up in your life and relationships today—your anxiety, avoidance, perfectionism, resentment, saying “yes” when you want to say “no”—isn’t random. It’s protective. It was learned during a time when those behaviors helped keep you safe. It made sense then.
But it’s costing you big time now.
If we can uncover where the story of these emotions, behaviors, and reactions began, you can start to understand those patterns and take back your power to choose something different.
How I work:
Here, I don’t let you stay stuck in the story.
When we work together, you’ll have plenty of “a-ha!” moments, but it won’t be me telling you something you didn’t know—it’ll be me bringing to the surface something you’ve known all along and forgot how to trust. But self-awareness isn’t where it stops, it’s where the real work begins. From there, you’ll have to live up to the person you want to be through your actions, and I’ll be holding you accountable along the way.
Therapy with me is…
-
I can’t overstate the importance of us being a good fit and having a strong connection in our client-therapist relationship. That’s why I encourage you to tell me if something isn’t working for you.
I’m an East Coast Italian, military veteran, prior law enforcement, I’m direct, I don’t pull any punches—and I know that doesn’t work for everyone. I don’t take it personally. If something feels off, let’s talk about it. If we can’t figure it out, I will help find you someone who is a good fit.
While I’m more than confident in my training and skills, one of the most important pieces in therapy is our relationship. If it doesn’t feel right, it isn’t—and I want you to trust your gut if that’s what it’s telling you, so we can find you a better fit.
-
If you’re looking for someone to nod and smile while you complain about making the same choices over and over again, you’re not going to like it here. I show up as a real person—no mask, no performance. I bring my full self into the room because I believe that’s the only way you’ll feel safe enough to bring your full self, too. This is a relationship built on honesty, respect, and the kind of connection most people rarely experience: the kind where someone really sees you, and doesn’t look away.
-
If you’re lying to yourself, I’m going to say it. If something you’re doing doesn’t line up with who you say you want to be, I’ll point that out, too. Not to shame you—but because it’s my job to help you stop avoiding, start facing, and actually grow. I care enough to be honest with you, even when it’s uncomfortable, and I’ll always do it with compassion, respect, and care.
-
You don’t need to prep for therapy like it’s a presentation. We’ll talk about whatever’s showing up for you that day—because all of it matters. We’ll go deep, ask the big, existential questions, and sometimes sit with the stuff that doesn’t have easy answers. Nothing is too taboo to bring up—I’ve pretty much seen it all and highly doubt you could phase me. You can bring your pain, your unfiltered thoughts, your tangled-up feelings, and I’ll be right there with you to help you make sense of it.
-
You’re not supposed to feel great all the time. Life can be heavy, chaotic, unfair—and pretending it’s not doesn’t help. In this space, you don’t have to fake being okay. We’ll talk about what’s real, even if what’s real is that everything kind of sucks right now. You’ll learn to ride the waves without drowning in them and, eventually, to trust that they do pass.
-
You’ll never be the person you used to be before whatever happened happened—but you can become someone you respect, someone you actually want to be. That version of you doesn’t come from chasing an elusive happily-ever-after or doing what you think you "should" do. It comes from figuring out what matters to you, and living in line with that. We’ll work together to make sure your actions match your values—because that’s where peace lives.

Specializing in…
MY SERVICES
Therapy with me—whether online or in person—is your time.
I offer walk-and-talk sessions in Galveston, and virtual sessions across Texas & Michigan.
01
Walk-And-Talk Therapy
Sometimes sitting across from someone to talk about your struggles just feels...like too much.
That’s why I offer walk-and-talk sessions right on the beach in Galveston—real conversations, barefoot in the sand, the grounding rhythm of the waves, moving side by side instead of locked in eye contact.
If you're someone who feels stuck or shut down in traditional therapy, this might be the exact kind of freedom you didn’t know you needed.
02
Online Therapy
For my virtual clients, I send out a special starter kit filled with small things that make a big difference: a white noise machine for privacy, a cozy blanket, a leather-bound journal, a mug to bring a tasty (non-alcoholic) beverage to session, a fidget toy, and a scented candle to help you settle in.
These sessions happen from the comfort of your own space, but I encourage you to treat them like you’re walking into my office—because they matter just as much. We show up real, we dig in, and we do the work together.
